SHRESHTA NETS 2024 Exam Date Changed: Rescheduled to May 11 Due to General Elections

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has made changes to the exam schedule for the National Entrance Test for the Scheme for Residential Education for Students in High Classes in Targeted Areas (SHRESHTA NETS) 2024 due to the upcoming general elections. Originally scheduled for a later date, the SHRESHTA NETS 2024 exam will now take place on May 11.

SHRESHTA Scheme Overview

The SHRESHTA scheme, introduced by the central government, aims to provide high-quality education to deserving scheduled caste (SC) students. Approximately 3,000 SC category students will be selected under this initiative to receive admission to CBSE-affiliated schools across the country for Class 9 and 11.

Application Process and Eligibility

• Application Deadline: Candidates aiming to appear for the SHRESHTA NETS 2024 examination must complete the application process by April 4.
• Application Form: The application form for SHRESHTA NETS 2024 is available on the official website at shreshta.ntaonline.in or exams.nta.ac.in/SHRESHTA.
• Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible for SHRESHTA NETS, candidates must have a parental income of less than Rs 2.5 lakh per year. Scheduled caste students currently in Class 8 and 10 are eligible to apply for the SHRESHTA NETS Class 9 and 11 exams respectively.
