Overview of RPSC Assistant Professor Recruitment 2025



The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has issued a notification for the recruitment of 574 Assistant Professors within the College Education Department. Interested candidates can submit their applications online starting from September 20, 2025, until October 19, 2025. The recruitment process will consist of a written examination followed by an interview, with the examination scheduled to take place between December 1 and December 24, 2025.


Eligibility Criteria and Age Limit

To qualify for this position, applicants must possess at least 55% marks in their master's degree from an accredited university. Additionally, candidates are required to have cleared the NET/SLET/SET examination. However, those holding a PhD are exempt from this requirement according to UGC regulations from 2009 or 2016 (including any updates). The age limit for applicants is set between 20 and 40 years as of July 1, 2025, with age relaxation available for candidates from reserved categories.


Application Fee Structure

The application fees are as follows:



  • General/OBC (Creamy Layer)/EWS candidates: ₹600


  • SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/EWS/Divyang/Sahariya Tribe candidates: ₹400



Candidates wishing to modify their application can do so online for a fee of ₹500.


Selection Process Details

The selection of candidates will be based on their performance in a written examination and an interview. The written exam is set to occur from December 1 to December 24, 2025. Those who pass the written test will be invited for an interview, after which a final merit list will be compiled.
