Rail India Technical and Economic Services (RITES) has initiated a recruitment campaign for 252 apprenticeship roles, allowing applications from graduates, diploma holders, and ITI graduates. Notably, this recruitment will not involve any written tests or interviews; selection will be based exclusively on academic performance.

Available Positions

The recruitment encompasses a total of 252 positions, primarily aimed at graduate apprentices. Both engineering and non-engineering graduates are eligible for these roles, followed by diploma and ITI-qualified candidates for the remaining positions.


Details of the positions include:



  • 146 Graduate Apprentices: Open to BE, B.Tech, and B.Arch graduates, as well as non-engineering graduates holding degrees like BA, B.Com, BBA, B.Sc, and BCA.

  • 49 Diploma Apprentices: Candidates must possess a three-year full-time engineering diploma.

  • 57 Trade Apprentices: Only those with an ITI qualification from a recognized institution can apply.


Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet specific educational requirements to qualify for the positions:



  • Graduate Apprentices: A four-year engineering degree or a three-year bachelor's degree for non-engineering candidates.

  • Diploma Apprentices: A three-year engineering diploma is mandatory.

  • Trade Apprentices: An ITI degree is essential.


Additionally, candidates must achieve minimum marks: General and EWS candidates need at least 60%, while SC, ST, OBC (NCL), and PwBD candidates require a minimum of 50%.


Selection Process

The selection process is straightforward, relying solely on a merit list derived from qualifying marks. There will be no examinations or interviews required.


Stipend Details

The apprenticeship also offers an attractive stipend, making it appealing for young applicants:



  • Graduate Apprentices: Approximately ₹14,000 per month.

  • Diploma Apprentices: Around ₹12,000 per month.

  • ITI Trade Apprentices: Up to ₹10,000 per month.
