AFCAT 2026: The Indian Air Force (IAF) has updated the registration timeline for the Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) for the 01/2026 cycle. As per the latest announcement, the registration will commence on November 17, 2025, and will remain open until December 14, 2025.

Initially, the registration was set to start on November 10, with an application deadline of December 9, 2025. This schedule has now been modified.

The IAF communicated this change via its official platform, stating, "Attention all candidates! The registration dates for AFCAT 01/2026 have been revised from November 10 to December 9, 2025, to November 17 to December 14, 2025."

Exam Date: January 31, 2026
The online examination is scheduled for January 31, 2026 (Saturday). This recruitment initiative aims to enlist Indian citizens (both men and women) as Group 'A' Gazetted Officers in the Flying and Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) branches. A total of 340 positions are available, distributed as follows:

Flying - Men (34), Women (4)
Ground Duty (Technical) - Men (150), Women (38)
Ground Duty (Non-Technical) - Men (89), Women (25)

Before proceeding with the application, candidates must verify that they fulfill all eligibility requirements. The age limit for the Flying branch is set between 20 to 24 years as of January 1, 2027, while those holding a valid Commercial Pilot License may apply until the age of 26. For the Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) branches, the age range is 20 to 26 years. Only unmarried individuals are permitted to apply, and the date of birth recorded in the Matriculation or equivalent certificate will be deemed final.
