Revised NIOS Exam Schedule Released Amid Bihar Elections

Updated NIOS Exam Dates

The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) has announced a new timetable for the Class 10 and 12 examinations, which were delayed due to the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025. Initially set to commence on November 6, the exams will now take place starting November 29, 2025, in two shifts.

Exam Schedule for Bihar

In Bihar, the Class 10 and 12 exams are scheduled for November 29, 2025. The Class 12 subjects, including Biology, Accountancy, Introduction to Law, and Military Studies, will be held from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. Concurrently, Class 10 exams for Urdu, Sanskrit, and Bodh Darshan will also take place during the same time, while the Indian Line Language exam is set for 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM.

Exam Schedule for Odisha

For students in Odisha, the NIOS exams are slated for December 1, 2025. On this date, Class 12 will see Mathematics and Vedic Studies exams, alongside the English exam for Class 10, all scheduled from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM.

Nationwide Exams on December 2

According to the NIOS notification, exams for Class 10 and 12 will be conducted across the country on December 2, 2025. This includes subjects such as History, Physics, Environmental Science, and Library and Information Science for Class 12, while Class 10 will feature a painting exam. The timings for Class 12 exams will be from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM, and for Class 10 from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM.
