UP DElEd Exam: The registration for the UP DElEd entrance exam for 2026 is currently in progress. As of the third day of the application period, 2,338 candidates have registered, with 1,515 completing their fee payment. The final date for DElEd registration is July 8. In total, there are 239,509 DElEd seats available in Uttar Pradesh, which includes 10,600 seats across 67 District Institutes of Education and Training (DIETs) and 228,900 seats in 3,103 private DElEd colleges.


Admission Process and Important Guidelines

According to a notification from Rajendra Pratap, Secretary of the Examination Regulatory Authority in Prayagraj, the admission process will cater to private and minority training institutes that are recognized by the state government. Candidates should refer to the official website for detailed information regarding eligibility criteria, age limits, application fees, selection processes, and other relevant conditions. It is crucial for applicants to verify the information entered in their application forms against their mark sheets and certificates, as no corrections will be allowed post-submission. Additionally, candidates from outside Uttar Pradesh will be classified under the unreserved category and will not receive any reservation benefits.

To qualify for admission into the UP DElEd (previously known as BTC) program, candidates must have completed Class 12. General category applicants need a minimum of 50% marks, while SC, ST, OBC, and differently-abled (Divyang) candidates require at least 45%. The minimum age requirement is 18 years.
