Overview of the Assistant Professor Examination
The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) is set to conduct the Assistant Professor Examination for the College Education Department in 2025. This recruitment drive has announced 574 vacancies across 30 different subjects. As of now, over 20,000 candidates have submitted their applications online. The application window opened on September 20, 2025, and will close on October 19, 2025, at midnight. Please note that offline applications will not be accepted. Re-advertisement and Application Process
This recruitment has been re-advertised following the cancellation of a previous announcement made on December 13, 2024, due to significant amendments in the service rules. Consequently, 170,664 applications submitted under the earlier advertisement were deemed invalid. All candidates who meet the qualifications outlined in the new advertisement must reapply online, even if they had previously submitted an application under the canceled notice.

According to the Secretary of the Commission, the earlier advertisement was withdrawn on September 18, 2025, due to the introduction of a minimum marks requirement in the service rules. A revised advertisement for the same positions was released on the same day, with no changes to the number of available posts. The examinations for these positions will take place as planned, from December 1 to December 24, 2025. The exam dates were previously announced in the examination calendar published by the Commission on December 31, 2024.

Minimum Marks Provision in New Advertisement
The updated recruitment rules now stipulate that candidates from the general category must achieve at least 36 percent in each written examination paper and a minimum overall score of 40 percent. Candidates from reserved categories are exempt from this requirement.
