Rajasthan High Court Stays Sub Inspector Recruitment Cancellation

Significant Update on Rajasthan Sub Inspector Recruitment
A crucial development has emerged regarding the Rajasthan Sub Inspector recruitment process. The High Court's double bench has temporarily halted the earlier decision made by a single bench to annul the SI recruitment.
This decision by the double bench will remain in effect until the case is fully heard and resolved. This ruling offers a glimmer of hope for the candidates who were selected, as their job prospects were previously uncertain.
Initially, this matter was addressed by a single bench led by Judge Sameer Jain. After concluding the hearing on August 14, the court reserved its judgment. The court expressed concerns that individuals improperly selected for maintaining law and order should not be permitted to serve in these roles. Consequently, the court mandated a re-evaluation of the recruitment process that was announced in July.
Irregularities and Paper Leak Issues
In August, the High Court annulled the Rajasthan Sub Inspector Recruitment Exam 2021, marking a significant setback for the state government. This recruitment was intended for 859 Sub Inspector positions. The 2021 exam revealed serious irregularities, including a paper leak.
Following the SI Recruitment 2021 exam, 54 training station in-charges were arrested, contributing to a total of 122 arrests in connection with this case, which also includes two officials from the Rajasthan Public Service Commission.
The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) conducted the examination for both Sub Inspector and Platoon Commander roles from September 13 to 15, 2021. The exam paper was compromised, originating from Ravindra Bal Bharti Senior Secondary School in Shanti Nagar, Hasanpura. The principal of the school and the exam center superintendent, Rajesh Khandelwal, were pivotal figures in the paper leak incident.
