For those aspiring to enter the legal field, the National Law School of India University (NLSIU) in Bengaluru has announced the commencement of applications for the National Law School Admission Test (NLSAT 2026). Application Process for NLSAT 2026
The registration for NLSAT 2026 is currently available on the official NLSIU website. Interested candidates can submit their applications online until March 23, 2026. The examination is scheduled to take place across the country on April 26, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM.
This entrance test allows students to seek admission into the 3-year LLB (Hons), NLS BA (Hons), 2-year Master's in Public Policy, and PhD programs in law, public policy, social sciences, and humanities.
Application Fees
The application fee is set at ₹2,500 for candidates in the general category, while those in other categories will pay ₹2,000. Each correct answer will earn 1 mark, whereas incorrect or unanswered questions will incur a penalty of 0.25 marks.
Exam Structure
The NLSAT will be conducted offline in April, utilizing a pen-and-paper format lasting 150 minutes. The question paper will consist of two sections. Part A will evaluate comprehension, current affairs, legal knowledge, and logical reasoning. Part B will focus on legal aptitude, analytical skills, and legal reasoning.
