NEET-UG 2026 Result Update

Current Status of NEET-UG 2026 Results: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has begun the evaluation of answer sheets for the NEET-UG 2026 examination. Previously, the NTA published a provisional answer key and allowed candidates to submit objections regarding the questions and their options. The deadline for these objections was set for June 28, with reports indicating that around 10,000 objections were filed. Following this phase, the NTA is now actively assessing the answer sheets.

Reviewing Objections and Finalizing the Answer Key

Process for Addressing Objections:
The NTA's standard procedure includes releasing a provisional answer key and inviting feedback. With the objections now in, the evaluation of the OMR sheets has commenced. Each objection will be thoroughly reviewed, and necessary adjustments will be made before the final answer key is published. The official results are anticipated to be announced the day after the final answer key is released.

Re-examination Details

NEET Re-exam Conducted on June 21:
The NEET-UG 2026 exam was initially held on May 3, but due to a paper leak, the exam was canceled. Consequently, a re-examination took place on June 21, with over 20 lakh candidates participating across 5,440 centers in India and 14 centers abroad.

Controversy Over Questions

Issues with Two Questions:
After the provisional answer key was released, experts highlighted potential issues with two questions in the Physics section. According to Vinod Kumawat, a NEET expert from a coaching institute in Kota, one question regarding EM waves had two correct options, allowing candidates who chose either to receive marks. The second question, related to the Vernier caliper, was deemed flawed with all options incorrect, leading to its cancellation. Consequently, all candidates will receive bonus marks for this question.
