NEET UG Counseling 2025 Update

NEET UG Counseling 2025: The Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) has announced an extension for the choice filling and locking deadline, offering crucial relief to candidates involved in the NEET UG 2025 stray vacancy round. This decision follows the revelation that 1,232 MBBS seats were left unfilled under the All India Quota (AIQ). After publishing the list of available seats, the MCC has granted candidates extra time to choose their preferred college and course.

New Deadline for College and Course Selection
Candidates can now finalize and lock their choices for medical colleges and courses until 11:55 PM on November 13, 2025. This process will be conducted online through the MCC's official website.

Registration and Rule Changes
The MCC has specified that all candidates wishing to participate in the stray vacancy round must re-register. Previous registrations will not be accepted for this round, and the choice filling process must be restarted.

Deadline for PwD and NRI Candidates
Candidates applying under the Persons with Disabilities (PwD) category can obtain their certificates from MCC-authorized verification centers until November 12, 2025. NRI candidates must submit their required documents to the MCC via email by November 11, 2025, at 2:00 PM.

Potential Delay in Seat Allotment Results
The extension of the choice filling deadline may lead to a delay in the announcement of seat allotment results, which were initially set for November 12. The MCC is expected to provide updated dates soon.

Changes in State Counseling Schedules
Several state counseling authorities have adjusted their NEET UG counseling timelines in light of the MCC's decision to allocate state seats only after completing the All India Quota process.

Stay Updated
The MCC advises all candidates to frequently check the official website for any new updates or information to ensure they do not miss any critical announcements.
