NEET-SS 2025 Counselling Update: Registration Reopens Following Court Order

NEET-SS Registration: In response to a ruling from the Delhi High Court, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has rescinded its notice from August 3 concerning the second round of NEET-SS 2025 counselling. This ruling allows the petitioning candidates to re-register and take part in the counselling process. Candidates are currently waiting for additional updates from the MCC along with the revised counselling timeline.


The MCC's announcement indicated that this action was taken following the Court's directive dated August 5 in the case of *Sunil and Others vs. Medical Counselling Committee* (Writ Petition (Civil) No. 11097/2026).


The notice elaborated, "The Court has authorized the petitioner candidates to re-register and engage in Round 2 of the NEET-SS 2025 counselling."


Registration Process Timeline:


The MCC has stated that, in light of the Delhi High Court's observations, the notification issued on August 3 has been withdrawn immediately. A new counselling schedule has been published, indicating that the resignation portal will be accessible to all candidates until 4 PM on August 7.


According to the updated timeline, the registration and choice-filling for the second round of NEET-SS 2025 counselling will recommence on August 9 at 10 AM. This decision was made following the Delhi High Court's intervention to ensure that all eligible candidates can participate in the counselling process.
