NEET PG 2024 Revised Schedule

Mark your calendars with the following important dates for NEET PG 2024:

  • Exam Date: June 23
  • Declaration of Result: By July 15
  • Counselling: August 5 to October 10
  • Starting of Academic Session: September 16
  • Last Date of Joining: October 21

Background and Decision

Originally scheduled for March 3, the NEET PG exam date was rescheduled to July 7 due to representations from potential applicants. However, after a meeting involving various medical bodies, the NMC decided to advance the exam date to June 23. Despite the change in exam date, the internship deadline remains unchanged.

NEET PG Exam Pattern and Scoring

  • The NEET PG 2024 test paper is worth 800 marks.
  • It consists of 200 multiple-choice questions.
  • Candidates receive 4 marks for each correct answer.
  • 1 mark is deducted for each incorrect response.
  • Marked-for-review responses are assessed according to correctness.
  • Unanswered questions do not carry any negative marking.

The exam will be conducted online in computer-based testing (CBT) mode and will last for 3 hours and 30 minutes.

NEET MDS Exam 2024

While the NEET PG exam date has been rescheduled, the NEET MDS exam 2024 was conducted as scheduled on March 18. Despite requests and pleas from students to postpone the dental medical entrance examination, the exam proceeded as planned. Concerns were raised regarding the common counselling session for NEET PG and PG dental conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).
