Extended Deadline for Self-Appraisal: Candidates of DNB broad-speciality and DrNB super-speciality courses for the admission session of 2023 can now submit their self-appraisal forms until Thursday, February 29, 2024. It is essential to note that there will be no further extensions beyond this date.

Purpose of Self-Appraisal: The self-appraisal process aims to assess a candidate's eligibility for NBEMS registration as a trainee upon joining one of the NBEMS-accredited institutions selected through centralised merit-based counselling.

Eligibility Criteria and Registration Process: Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria outlined in the information bulletin for the respective entrance examinations. Successful candidates will be registered as trainees with NBEMS after submitting their self-appraisal and required documents through their training institutions.

Important Dates:

  • Submission of self-appraisal forms by candidates: Until February 29, 2024, by 11:55 pm.
  • Verification of self-appraisal forms and documents by NBEMS accredited institutes: Until March 15, 2024, by 11:55 pm.

Instructions for Candidates:

  • Candidates must thoroughly review the information bulletin for the respective entrance examinations before proceeding with the self-appraisal.
  • Detailed guidelines are available at the Online Portal for Joining & Registration (OPJR), which candidates must carefully read before completing the self-appraisal.
  • It is crucial to read and agree to the declaration provided after completing the self-appraisal proforma.

DNB Courses: Updated Schedule

  • Candidates opting for DNB seats in 2-year and 3-year courses must enrol in DNB training within their respective programmes.
  • Training duration for post-MBBS professionals admitted through NEET PG is three years, while for post-diploma DNB professionals admitted through DNB-PDCET, it is two years. They are referred to as Primary DNB trainees and Secondary DNB trainees, respectively.
