Kerala SSLC March 2024 Exam Schedule

The SSLC (Secondary School Leaving Certificate) exams in Kerala for the upcoming session will be conducted as follows:

  • SSLC (Hearing Impaired) Exam: March 4 to March 22
  • Main SSLC Exams: Commence on March 4 and conclude on March 25

Timings:

  • Exams will begin at 9:30 AM.
  • Morning session ends at 11:15 AM.
  • Afternoon session ends at 12:15 PM.

Subject-wise Schedule:

  • First Language Part 1 — March 4
  • English — March 6
  • Mathematics — March 11
  • First Language Part 2 — March 13
  • Physics — March 15
  • Hindi, General Knowledge — March 18

Application Process and Fees:

  • School-going candidates need not apply separately for the SSLC exam.
  • Candidates from other categories must submit a separate application if they intend to appear for the SSLC exams.
  • Exam fee for school-going candidates is Rs. 30.
  • Private category candidates are required to pay Rs. 20 per paper.
  • Candidates seeking betterment of results must pay a fee of Rs. 200.
  • A penalty of Rs. 10 is imposed for late submission of the application form.
  • SC, ST, and students below the poverty line are exempt from submitting application forms.

A Glimpse of the Previous Year's Success:

In 2023, an impressive 99.70 percent of students who took the Kerala Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) Class 10th board exam successfully passed. Out of the 4,19,120 students who appeared for the exam, a remarkable 68,604 students secured A+ grades. This marked a significant increase from the previous year when 44,363 students achieved A+ grades. In total, 4,17,864 students passed the exams that year. The exams were held from March 9 to March 29.

Consistent Excellence:

Over the last 8 years, the Kerala board has consistently maintained a pass percentage of over 95 percent, even surpassing the pre-pandemic pass rates. In 2021, the board recorded an exceptional pass percentage of 99.47 percent, followed by 99.26 percent in 2022.
