The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) has officially released the examination timetable for students in classes 8, 9, and 11 across the state. The council confirmed that the exams for these classes will take place in the final week of February, utilizing OMR sheets for all question papers.
Details for Class 8 Examinations
The board examination for 8th-grade students is scheduled for February 24th, with two shifts planned for the day. The first shift will focus on language subjects, including Hindi, English, or another language. The second shift will cover Mathematics, Science, and Social Science. Each question paper will carry a total of 50 marks, while an additional 100 marks will be allocated for internal assessments conducted by the respective schools. JAC has announced that admit cards for 8th-grade students will be accessible on the official website starting February 14th. Schools are required to submit internal assessment marks online between February 26th and March 10th.
Examination Schedule for Class 9
The annual examinations for 9th-grade students are set for February 28th and March 2nd. Students will be assessed in five compulsory subjects: Language-I, Language-II, Mathematics, Science, and Social Science. To pass, students must succeed in at least four subjects. Each subject will consist of 40 marks allocated for objective questions, with an additional 10 marks for internal assessments conducted at the school level.
Class 11 Examination Details
The examinations for 11th-grade students will occur from February 25th to February 27th. Similar to the 9th grade, students will be tested in five subjects, and passing in four is essential. Each subject will include 40 marks for multiple-choice questions, with 10 marks designated for internal assessments at the Plus Two school or college level. Admit cards for 11th-grade students will be available from February 16th. Following the JAC's announcement of the final exams, schools have ramped up their preparations. The council has urged students to download their admit cards promptly and adhere to the examination guidelines.
