Notice from NTA

The NTA has previously announced that it will obtain the name, date of birth, gender, photograph, and address through Aadhaar authentication from UIDAI (for updates to Aadhaar, please follow UIDAI guidelines). However, since the names of parents/guardians are not recorded in Aadhaar, candidates will need to fill in these details separately in the online application form.

The Joint Entrance Examination is conducted for admission into undergraduate engineering programs (BE/BTech) at NITs, IIITs, other centrally funded technical institutions (CFTIs), and universities/institutions recognized or funded by state governments. Candidates who pass JEE (Main) Paper 1 will be eligible to sit for the JEE (Advanced) exam for admission to IITs.
