Contents of the Scorecard
What Information Will Be Included?
The JEE Main scorecard will feature your total marks and the NTA percentile score. It will also provide individual percentiles for Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, along with the overall percentile score. Note that the All India Rank (AIR) will not be included in the Session 1 results; it will be announced after the April session (Session 2).
Understanding the Normalization Process
Normalization Explained
Given that the exam is conducted in multiple shifts, the difficulty level may vary. To ensure fairness, the NTA employs a normalization method, which guarantees that no student is disadvantaged by a more challenging paper.
Registration for Session 2
Students who are dissatisfied with their Session 1 scores or who missed the first session can register for Session 2. The deadline for registration is February 25, 2026. The top 250,000 candidates nationwide will qualify to take the JEE Advanced exam, which is necessary for admission to IITs.
Candidates who do not pass JEE Main Session 1 can still participate in Session 2. The JEE Main 2026 Session 2 exams are scheduled to occur in multiple shifts from April 2 to April 9, 2026. City allotment slips and admit cards will be issued a few weeks prior to the exam. It is essential for candidates to download their admit cards and verify the exam details, including date, time, and location.
