JEE Main 2026 Announcement: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is set to organize the JEE Main examination in two distinct sessions in January and April of 2026. The official dates have now been disclosed. Candidates interested in participating in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) for 2026 can submit their online applications for Session 1 by visiting jeemain.nta.nic.in. The examination will be conducted using the Computer-Based Test (CBT) format. However, the application forms are yet to be released, with expectations for their availability later this week.


Session 1 Exam Dates

Scheduled Dates for Session 1:
The NTA is also enhancing the number of examination centers to better accommodate engineering aspirants. Online applications for Session 1 will be accessible on their official site, with the exams scheduled to take place from January 21 to January 30, 2026. The second session is planned for April 2026, with online application forms expected to be available in the last week of January. The exams for Session 2 will occur from April 1 to April 10, 2026.


Aadhaar Authentication Process

The NTA will retrieve the candidate's name, date of birth, gender, photograph, and address through Aadhaar authentication via UIDAI. However, as the names of parents or guardians are not included in Aadhaar records, candidates will need to manually input these details in the online application form.


Correction Options for Candidates

In case of discrepancies between the Aadhaar card and the 10th-grade educational certificate or marksheet, the NTA will offer candidates the opportunity to rectify these errors during the online application process.
