Private Institutions Making Their Mark

BITS Pilani: Leading Private College

As per the NIRF 2025 rankings, BITS Pilani stands out as the top private engineering college in India, securing the 11th rank. NIT Tiruchirappalli is ranked ninth, while NIT Rourkela follows at the 13th position. This highlights the presence of excellent engineering colleges beyond the IIT framework. Among private institutions, SRM Institute of Science and Technology is ranked 14th, and Vellore Institute of Technology is at the 16th position.

NIT Tiruchirappalli: The Only NIT in the Top 10
