Indian Bank has issued a recruitment notice for 171 Specialist Officer roles. Interested candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can submit their applications online via the bank's official site. The application window opens on September 23, 2025, and closes on October 13, 2025.


Eligibility Criteria


Applicants should hold a Bachelor's degree, B.Tech/B.E., Master's degree, CA, MSc, MBA/PGDM, MCA, or ICSI qualification in a relevant discipline.


The age requirements for this recruitment are a minimum of 23 years and a maximum of 36 years, with age relaxation applicable as per regulations.


Application Fees


The application fee is set at ₹1,000 for General, OBC, and EWS candidates, while SC, ST, and PH candidates are required to pay ₹175. Payments must be processed online.


Salary Structure


For Scale II, the salary ranges from ₹64,820 to ₹93,960. Scale III offers a salary between ₹85,920 and ₹1,05,280, while Scale IV ranges from ₹1,02,300 to ₹1,20,940.


Exam Format


The examination will include various subjects: English Language (20 questions, 20 marks), Professional Knowledge (60 questions, 120 marks), Reasoning Ability (40 questions, 40 marks), and Quantitative Aptitude (40 questions, 40 marks). In total, there will be 160 questions worth 220 marks. The English Language section will be in English only, while other subjects will be available in both English and Hindi. The exam duration is 2 hours.


Note that marks from sections like English Language, Reasoning Ability, and Quantitative Aptitude will not contribute to the final score. Incorrect answers in other subjects will incur a penalty of 1/4 mark, while unanswered questions will not attract any penalty.


Interview Process


The interview will carry a weight of 100 marks. Candidates will be shortlisted for interviews based on their performance in the written examination, with three candidates selected for every unreserved vacancy and five for each reserved vacancy. Cut-off marks will be established based on vacancies and candidate performance, determining who progresses to the interview stage.
