India Post Announces Recruitment for Rural Postal Workers

India Post has opened applications for the position of Rural Postal Workers. Interested candidates can submit their applications through the official India Post website. The recruitment includes roles such as Branch Postmaster, Assistant Branch Postmaster, and Postal Service Workers.

According to the notification released by India Post, the registration process commenced on January 30 and will remain open until February 14. The application process started on February 1 and will close on February 16. A correction window will be available until February 18, 2026.

Eligibility Criteria for Application

Candidates applying for these positions must be between the ages of 18 and 40. Those outside this age range will not be eligible to apply. Regarding educational qualifications for GDS positions, applicants must have passed the 10th grade from a school board recognized by the Government of India, state governments, or union territories. A Secondary School Examination Certificate is mandatory for application.

Selection Process for the Positions

The selection for these roles will be based on a system-generated merit list. This list will be prepared according to the marks obtained in the 10th-grade secondary school examination from recognized boards. Candidates' 10th-grade scores and practical tests will be essential for recruitment.
