IGNOU Extends Application Deadline for January 2024 Admission; New Date Announced

Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the registration deadline for fresh admissions to the January 2024 session, providing candidates with an additional opportunity to enroll in various programmes offered through online and distance learning modes. Interested candidates can now apply until March 20, 2024, via the official website of IGNOU.

Registration Deadline Extension:

• Original Deadline: January 29, 2024
• First Extension: February 15, 2024
• Latest Extension: March 20, 2024

Registration Process:

1. Visit Official Website: Navigate to IGNOU's official website at ignou.ac.in.
2. Register Online: Click on the 'Register Online' section followed by 'Fresh Admissions.'
3. New Registration: Choose the 'New Registration' tab and fill in mandatory details.
4. Create Username and Password: Set a unique username and password for registration.
5. Form Submission: Fill out all required information, upload scanned documents, and select the desired programme.
6. Review and Submit: Double-check all details before submitting the registration form.

Documents Required:

• Scanned passport-size photograph (less than 100 KB)
• Scanned candidate's signature (less than 100 KB)
• Scanned educational qualification documents (less than 200 KB)
• Scanned experience certificate (if applicable, less than 200 KB)
• Scanned category certificate (if SC/ST/OBC, less than 200 KB)

Additional Information:

• Candidates can also apply for government scholarships through the national scholarship portal at scholarships.gov.in after confirming their admission.
• The re-registration deadline for all programmes offered in ODL/online mode for the January 2024 session has also been extended to March 20, 2024, with a late fee of Rs 200.
