IGNOU Admission 2025: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has announced an extension for the admission deadline for the July 2025 session. Students now have until 15 September 2025 to apply for various courses offered through Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and Online Mode. Applications can be submitted via IGNOU's official website.
Previously, the application deadline was set for 31 August. IGNOU provides a variety of programs, including Diploma, Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Certificate, and PG Diploma courses, allowing interested candidates to apply online before the new deadline.
DEB ID Requirement
As per the official announcement, candidates must possess a DEB ID to apply for online and distance education. Students are required to create this ID before they can proceed with their application.
Admission Opportunities in Over 300 Courses
IGNOU is offering a remarkable chance for students to enroll in more than 300 courses for the July 2025 session. This includes 48 undergraduate programs (like B.A., B.Com., BBA) and 75 postgraduate programs (such as M.A., M.Sc., MBA). Additionally, a variety of diplomas, postgraduate diplomas, certificates, and awareness programs are available.
The admission process at IGNOU occurs biannually for the January and July sessions. The deadline for the July 2025 session has been extended, allowing students to enroll in various courses through online or distance learning until 15 September 2025.
IGNOU 2025: Registration Fee
The registration fee is set at Rs 2000 for all candidates. If a student decides to cancel their admission after it has been confirmed, the remaining amount will be refunded after deducting the registration fee. For those who choose a soft copy of the study material, refunds will only be processed after the registration fee is deducted. Candidates who receive a fee waiver will only have the development fee refunded. No refunds will be issued after 60 days from the admission deadline.
How to Apply for IGNOU Admission 2025
To apply, candidates should first visit the official website. They need to create a new account by selecting 'New Registration' and providing their name, mobile number, email, and password.
Once registration is complete, candidates can log in and choose their desired course available in online or ODL mode.
Next, they must fill in their personal information, educational qualifications, and contact details.
Important documents must be uploaded with the application.
Afterward, the application fee should be paid online.
Finally, candidates should submit the form, download the receipt, and keep it for their records.
