Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has commenced its enrollment process for the July 2026 session. Concurrently, the arrangements for the June 2026 Term-End Examination (TEE) have been finalized. Dr. Suraj Singh, the Assistant Coordinator at the IGNOU Learner Support Centre (0508) in Purnia College, has released comprehensive guidelines regarding both enrollment and examinations.


Application Deadline and Requirements

**Online Applications Until July 15; APAAR ID Required**


The last date for submitting online applications for various Undergraduate (UG), Postgraduate (PG), Diploma, PG Diploma, and Certificate programs is set for July 15, 2026. Candidates can enroll online through the Learner Support Centre at Purnia College or by visiting IGNOU's official website.


Dr. Suraj Singh emphasized that applicants must have their APAAR ID ready prior to enrollment. He highlighted that IGNOU's programs are designed to be employment-oriented and skill-based, providing students with the flexibility to study while managing work or other commitments. To prevent any last-minute technical issues, students are encouraged to apply early.


Scholarship Opportunities for Female Students

Students who qualify for enrollment can apply for various scholarships available through the Government of India's National Scholarship Portal, covering categories such as sports and academics. Additionally, female students who graduate through IGNOU and are domiciled in Bihar can benefit from the *Mukhyamantri Balika (Snatak) Protsahan Yojana* (Chief Minister's Female Graduate Incentive Scheme), which offers a financial incentive of ₹50,000.

The June 2026 Term-End Examination is scheduled from June 1 to July 21, 2026. Purnia College will serve as the primary examination center, accommodating approximately 17,680 candidates from various academic sessions over the 41-day period.


Examination Hall Entry Guidelines

**Strict Entry Rules for Examination Hall; ID Proof Mandatory**


Dr. Suraj Singh has urged all examinees to comply with the examination regulations. Key guidelines include: the prohibition of any electronic devices, including mobile phones, smartwatches, and calculators, as well as books or notes inside the examination hall.


Examinees must present a valid original IGNOU identity card along with their Hall Ticket upon entering the examination hall. If a student does not possess an IGNOU ID, they may use a valid government-issued photo ID (such as a Voter ID or Driving License).
