Institute of Banking Personnel Selection conducts examinations for recruitment in banking industry. This is an autonomous agency which is an ‘Associate Member’ of Indian bank association (IBA). IBPS conducts examination in three phases, preliminary, Main exams and personal interview. Aspirants who clear both of these examinations got allotted in various departments of government banks.

Preliminary Examination: This examination is consists of 3 sections with total 100 objective questions and time duration for the exam is 1 hour. To clear pre exam candidate have to qualify each section. There is negative marking, 0.25 marks deducts for each wrong answer.

English Language: Reading Comprehension, Jumbled Sentences, Error Corrections
Reasoning: Input-output, sentence coding, logical reasoning, syllogism, puzzle seating arrangement data sufficiency, directions etc.
General Awareness, Marketing and Computer: Current Affairs, Banking Awareness, Marketing, Computer Awareness.
Data Analysis and interpretation: Line graphs, Bar Chart, Pie Chart, Tables, probability.
