NMMS Haryana Scholarship 2025: The Haryana Education Department has initiated online registrations for the National Means Cum Eligibility Scholarship (NMMS) Examination 2025. Students interested in applying can do so on the official Haryana Board of School Education website from September 8 to October 15, 2025. The examination is scheduled for November 30, 2025.

Scholarship Details

Students selected under the NMMS scheme will receive a monthly scholarship of Rs 1,000, totaling Rs 12,000 annually. This financial support is available for students from class 9 through class 12, amounting to a maximum of Rs 48,000 over four years.

Understanding the NMMS Scholarship

Launched in 2008 by the Department of School Education and Literacy under the Ministry of Human Resource Development (HRD), the National Means Cum Eligibility Scholarship aims to assist economically disadvantaged yet talented students. The scholarship provides Rs 12,000 annually to encourage these students to pursue secondary education.

Previous Year Statistics

In the previous year, 2,348 students applied for the examination from the district, with 2,199 actually taking the test. Out of those, 143 students were selected and are currently receiving Rs 1,000 monthly from the department.

Eligibility Requirements

This scholarship is exclusively for students currently in class 8. Those selected will benefit from the scholarship from class 9 to class 12. Additionally, the annual family income of applicants must not exceed Rs 3.30 lakh, ensuring support for economically weaker yet deserving students.

Exam Schedule

The Haryana NMMS Scholarship Exam is set for November 30, 2025, from 11 AM to 2 PM. Students can download their admit cards from the official Haryana Board of School Education website approximately 10 days prior to the exam.
