GATE 2027 Notification Released, Apply Online Starting August 14, 2026


Overview: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras has officially announced the GATE 2027 Notification on July 20, 2026, for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2027. This prestigious national examination encompasses 30 different test papers, serving as a pathway for admission into postgraduate programs and recruitment in various Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs). Candidates interested in applying can start their online applications from August 14, 2026, with the final submission deadline set for September 21, 2026. The GATE 2027 examination will take place on February 6, 7, 13, 14, 20, and 21, 2027.


GATE 2027 will be conducted as a Computer-Based Test (CBT) aimed at assessing candidates' thorough understanding of subjects across Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Science, Commerce, and Arts. IIT Madras has introduced a new test paper focused on Robotics & Automation (RA) and has updated the syllabus for several existing papers.
