Registration for FMGE December 2025

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has initiated the online registration for the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) scheduled for December 2025. The registration process commenced at 3 PM on November 14, 2025, allowing aspiring doctors who completed their MBBS abroad to apply.

Candidates have until December 4, 2025, at 11:55 PM to register, providing a total of 21 days for application. However, experts recommend not to delay until the deadline, as technical issues may occur during document uploads and fee payments.

The FMGE for December 2025 is set for January 17, 2026, with results expected to be announced by February 17, 2026. This upcoming month is critical for students preparing for this challenging examination, which has a reputation for being one of the toughest in India.

In the June 2025 session, out of 37,207 applicants, only 36,034 took the exam, and a mere 6,707 passed, resulting in a pass rate of just 18% and a failure rate exceeding 81%. This highlights the importance of staying updated with all exam-related information.

Application Requirements

The NBEMS has outlined clear requirements for applicants. Candidates must have completed their final MBBS examination or an equivalent degree by October 31, 2025. Applications from students without their results or certificates by this date will be rejected. Additionally, certification of medical degrees obtained abroad is mandatory.

This certification must come from either the Indian Embassy in the respective country or an authorized body there. Many applicants often overlook uploading these documents or submit them incorrectly, leading to application rejections. Therefore, NBEMS emphasizes verifying all documents before completing the application.

Steps to Register

The registration process is straightforward. Candidates should visit the official website, natboard.edu.in, and click on the FMGE December 2025 tab. This will open the registration link, where users need to create an account by providing their name, date of birth, email, and other essential details.

After successful registration, candidates can fill out the main application form, which includes personal details, educational qualifications, documents related to their studies abroad, and uploading a photograph and signature. Once the form is completed, applicants must submit it along with the examination fee. It is advisable to keep a printout of the application for future reference.
