GATE 2026 Conducting Authority
IIT Guwahati is the organizing body for GATE 2026, in partnership with the Ministry of Education, IISc Bangalore, and all IITs. The examination will be conducted using a computer-based testing (CBT) format.

The application process for GATE 2026 commenced on August 28, 2025, and the deadline is today, October 6, 2025. Candidates wishing to apply with a late fee can do so until October 9, 2025. The examination is scheduled for February 7, 8, 14, and 15, 2026.
Application Fees
The application fee is set at ₹1,000 for female, SC, ST, and PWD candidates, while other applicants will need to pay ₹2,000. For those applying late, the fees will be ₹1,500 for female/SC/ST/PWD candidates and ₹2,500 for others.
