The online registration for CLAT, overseen by the Consortium of National Law Universities, closes tonight. This examination is essential for admission into both the 5-year integrated LLB and 1-year LLM programs at various institutions nationwide.


Eligibility Criteria for CLAT 2027

Candidates wishing to apply for CLAT UG must have completed their 12th-grade education from a recognized board. A minimum score of 45% is required for General, OBC, and other backward categories, while SC and ST candidates need at least 40%. There is no upper age limit for this examination.


CLAT PG 2027


For those applying for CLAT PG, an LLB or an equivalent degree from a recognized university is mandatory. General category candidates must achieve at least 50%, while SC and ST candidates require a minimum of 45%. There is no age restriction for postgraduate courses.


Application Fees

The registration fees vary based on the candidate's category. General, OBC, NRI, PIO, and OCI candidates must pay ₹4,000, while SC, ST, BPL, and PwD candidates are required to pay ₹3,500. An additional fee of ₹500 is applicable for access to previous years' question papers. Payments are accepted only through online methods.


Exam Pattern for CLAT 2027

The CLAT 2027 entrance exam will feature 120 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) to be completed in 2 hours. Each correct answer earns one mark, while incorrect answers incur a penalty of 0.25 marks. The subjects covered will include English, Current Affairs, Legal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Techniques.
