UP DElEd 2026 Application Update



UP DElEd 2026: The Uttar Pradesh government has announced an extension for the online application period for the DElEd training program 2026. This decision follows a recommendation from the Examination Regulatory Authority located in Prayagraj. Candidates now have until August 3 to submit their applications. Rajendra Pratap, the Secretary of the Examination Regulatory Authority, confirmed that the application deadline has been pushed to August 3. Additionally, applicants can pay their fees until August 4, and printouts of their applications will be available until August 5.


To apply for the DElEd training program 2026, candidates must visit the official website, updeled.gov.in. Applications submitted through any method other than online will not be considered. The notification for online applications was initially released on June 9, 2026.


**Total Seats Available: 2,39,500**
Admissions will be available for a total of 2,39,500 seats in DElEd colleges across Uttar Pradesh, which includes 10,600 seats in government institutions (DIETs). However, by the original deadline of July 11, the number of applications received was significantly low, with only 1,12,136 candidates applying, which is less than half of the available seats.


**Eligibility Criteria for UP DElEd Training 2026**


The following are the eligibility requirements for the Uttar Pradesh DElEd (previously known as BTC) training program 2026:


**Educational Requirements**
Applicants must possess a graduation degree from a recognized university.
General/EWS/OBC candidates must have a minimum of 50% marks in graduation.
SC/ST/Differently-abled candidates require at least 45% marks.


**Age Requirements**
Minimum age: 18 years
Maximum age:
General category: 35 years
OBC/SC/ST: 40 years (age relaxation applies as per reservation policies)
Differently-abled candidates may receive additional age relaxation according to regulations.
