Northern Railway is offering a valuable chance for youth with its latest recruitment notification for apprentice roles. The online application process will commence on November 25 and will remain open until December 24, 2025.
Applicants must have secured a minimum of 50% in their 10th-grade examinations and hold an NCVT or SCVT-recognized ITI certificate in the relevant field. This recruitment emphasizes skill, making ITI knowledge and practical experience crucial. Candidates without an ITI qualification will not be eligible to apply.
The age criteria for applicants range from 15 to 24 years, with age calculated as of December 24, 2025. Government regulations provide a 5-year age relaxation for SC/ST candidates and a 3-year relaxation for OBC candidates. Additionally, candidates with disabilities are entitled to further age concessions.
There will be no written tests or interviews for these positions. Selection will be based solely on a merit list derived from the average marks obtained in the 10th grade and ITI. In cases where candidates have identical scores, preference will be given to the older candidate. Document verification will follow for all selected individuals.
The application fee is set at ₹100 for General and OBC candidates, while SC, ST, PwBD, and all female applicants are exempt from fees. Selected apprentices will receive a stipend during their training, as per the Apprentice Act of 1961.
