Enhanced Security Measures for NEET-UG 2026 Re-Examination
Robust Security Protocols for NEET-UG 2026
In preparation for the NEET-UG 2026 re-examination, stringent security measures have been established. In response to the recent paper leak incident, the Ministry of Education and the National Testing Agency (NTA) are implementing strict oversight to maintain the exam's confidentiality. Personnel involved in the question paper creation, including translators and other staff, have been relocated to secure, undisclosed sites. This arrangement will remain until the exam concludes on June 21. The use of mobile phones, internet access, and other digital devices is strictly forbidden.
A comprehensive security framework has been introduced to guarantee that the re-examination on June 21 is conducted fairly and transparently, effectively eliminating any chances of misconduct.
**Prohibition of External Communication**
As reported by a media outlet, individuals associated with the examination are prohibited from using mobile phones, laptops, smartwatches, and other communication devices. Internet access and external communications are heavily restricted. A log is being maintained for all individuals entering or exiting the premises, with only authorized personnel allowed entry.
**Increased Vigilance Post Paper Leak Incident**
The NEET-UG exam conducted in May was canceled due to a paper leak, causing distress for over 2.2 million candidates across the country. Consequently, the security measures have been significantly enhanced to preserve the integrity of the examination.
**Thorough Monitoring at All Stages**
Officials have stated that processes such as question paper preparation, translation, printing, packaging, storage, transportation, and distribution have been compartmentalized. This ensures that no individual or group has complete access to the entire process.
**Support from the Air Force and Digital Surveillance**
The Indian Air Force may be utilized for the secure transport of question papers. Additionally, social media platforms, messaging applications, and online forums are under constant surveillance to quickly detect any fake question papers, rumors, or suspicious activities.
**Education Minister's Directives**
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has directed officials to rectify all issues identified in the previous examination. His goal is to ensure that the re-examination on June 21 is executed in a completely fair, secure, and transparent manner.
