Council of Scientific and Industrial Research is going to organize UGC NET 2016 on 19th June 2016. Candidates who are preparing for UGC NET examination can fill its online application form before 1st March 2016 and submit the hard copy for the same by 7th March 2016. Lakhs of candidates appear for this UGC NET exam every year. Candidates who have completed their post graduation degree are eligible to appear for National Eligibility Test.

Candidates who qualify UGC NET examination will appointed for lectureship and junior research fellowship. CSIR organize this examination twice in a year in May-June and in December. The NET entrance test is conducted in various subjects. Candidates can choose their subject according to their priority.

Qualification:

  • Candidates who have scored at least 55% marks in Master’s Degree OR equivalent examination from universities/institutions recognized by UGC.
  • Candidates who have appeared OR will be appearing at the qualifying Master’s degree (final year) examination and whose result is still awaited or candidates whose qualifying examinations have been delayed may also apply for this test.

Age Limit: 28 Years

Examination Fees: Candidates are required to pay Rs. 1000/- for general category, Rs. 500/- for OBC and Rs. 250/- for SC/ST/PH or VH.

Exam Syllabus:

The question paper shall be divided into three parts, (A, B & C) as per syllabus and Scheme of Exam.

Part ‘A’ shall be common to all subjects. This part shall contain questions pertaining to General Aptitude with emphasis on logical reasoning, graphical analysis, analytical and numerical ability, quantitative comparison, series formation, puzzles etc.

Part ‘B’ shall contain subject-related conventional Multiple Choice questions (MCQs), generally covering the topics given in the syllabus.

Part ‘C’ shall contain higher value questions that may test the candidate’s knowledge of scientific concepts and/or application of the scientific concepts. The questions shall be of analytical nature where a candidate is expected to apply the scientific knowledge to arrive at the solution to the given scientific problem
