CSAB 2024 Special Round 1 Seat Allocation: What to Expect Today
The results of the Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) special round 1 seat allocation will be announced today, August 5. The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA 2024) has conducted the joint-counselling and seat allocation for the NIT+ system. Approximately 41,000 of the 42,200 seats available in the NIT+ System were assigned to candidates up until the fifth and final round of JoSAA counselling, where approximately 28,700 candidates accepted their seat assignments.
The CSAB Special Round Counselling, organized by NIT-K, aims to fill any vacant seats. According to the official notice, candidates holding a seat in DASA-2024 are not eligible to take part in the CSAB special rounds. Such candidates must withdraw their DASA-2024 seats by the deadline to qualify for the CSAB special rounds.
How to Check the CSAB 2024 Special Round 1 Seat Allocation List:
- Visit the official website: csab.nic.in
- Go to CSAB Special: Select the “Go to CSAB Special” option from the homepage.
- Find the seat allotment result link: Click on it.
- Enter your credentials: Provide the required information.
- View and download the result: The result will be displayed on the screen. Download and save it for further use.

- CSAB Special Round 1 Seat Allotment Result: August 5 at 5 PM
- Online Reporting: August 5 to 7
- Last Day to Accept or Reject Seats: August 8
- Document Verification: August 8, 2024
- CSAB Special Round 2 Seat Allotment Result: August 10
Furthermore, the CSAB will begin the registration and choice-filling process for the supernumerary round on August 16, 2024, which will conclude on August 19. Candidates who were eligible for JoSAA-2024 / CSAB-2024 Special Rounds can apply for the supernumerary round. Those who do not have a valid allocated seat in the NIT+ system after all the JoSAA counselling are also eligible to apply. The seat allotment result will be out on August 20, and physical reporting to colleges will end on August 27.
