The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially announced the exam schedule for the 2026 Class 10 and 12 examinations. The first phase for Class 10 will take place from February 17 to March 9, while the second phase is set for May 15 to June 1. In contrast, the Class 12 exams will occur from February 17 to April 9, 2026.


This year, the CBSE anticipates around 4.5 million students from India and 26 other nations to participate in these examinations.


Evaluation Timeline and Result Announcement

The evaluation of answer sheets for both Class 10 and 12 will commence 10 days post-examination for each subject, with completion expected within 12 days. For instance, if the Physics exam for Class 12 is scheduled for February 20, the evaluation will likely start on March 3 and conclude by March 15, 2026.


Historically, CBSE results for Class 10 and 12 have been released within 50 to 60 days following the conclusion of the exams. For example, last year, the Class 10 exams ended on March 18, and results were announced on May 13, which was 56 days later.


Expected Result Dates for 2026

In 2025, the Class 12 results were declared on May 13, within 56 days of the exam. The previous year, the results were available on April 2, just 41 days after the exams concluded on May 13.
