Examinations Commence on Tuesday

Officials have announced that the CBSE board examinations for Classes 10 and 12 began on Tuesday, with over 4.6 million students participating across more than 8,000 centers in India and abroad.

Dress Code for Boys

Students appearing for the exam should wear plain trousers or pants without any designs. They should avoid clothing with multiple zippered pockets, large buttons, or metal fittings. For footwear, simple sandals, slippers, or plain shoes are recommended.

Students must refrain from bringing hats, scarves, smartwatches, or electronic devices, as these will be confiscated by the examination center.

Dress Code for Girls

Female students are advised against wearing heavy garments, layered clothing, or embroidered fabrics. Jewelry such as earrings, nose rings, anklets, bangles, rings, or necklaces should be strictly avoided. They may wear flat sandals or simple slippers, steering clear of heels and hair accessories with metal parts.

Exam Day Guidelines: Mandatory Entry by 10 AM

Dr. Sanyam Bhardwaj, the examination controller of CBSE, recently shared guidelines for exam day during a live webinar. According to the schedule, students must enter the examination center before 10 AM, as entry will not be permitted after this time.

Importance of Adhering to Rules

CBSE has clarified that students will only receive the question paper corresponding to what is listed on their admit card. Attempting a paper for the wrong subject may result in the student being marked absent. Therefore, it is crucial to verify the code and subject name as soon as the question paper is received.
