Focus on Exam Pattern

Key Tips from Teachers

Here are some useful suggestions from teachers for the CBSE Class 10 Social Science board exam:

  • Utilize the E2 rule for multiple-choice questions (eliminate the first two options), and review key terms, dates, definitions, and differences from NCERT.

  • For statement-based questions, pay attention to extreme words like only/always; for source-based questions, read the paragraph twice and answer using its key terms.

  • For 5-mark questions, apply the IPEC format (3-line introduction, 4 explanatory points, 1-line conclusion) and write in bullet points with underlined keywords.

  • Practice maps daily for geography and identify events and their significance for picture-based history questions.

  • Solve at least one sample paper and review mistakes.

  • Manage time effectively before the exam and ensure adequate sleep.

How Many Students Will Participate?

The Class 10 exams will conclude on March 10, while the Class 12 exams will end on April 10. Overall, students will take exams in 83 subjects for Class 10 and 120 subjects for Class 12.
