CBSE Class 10 Second Board Exam Datesheet


CBSE 2nd Board Exam Datesheet: The Central Board of Secondary Education has published the datesheet for the second board examination for Class 10. Students who are participating in this exam can check the schedule. The second session exams will commence on May 15, starting with Mathematics (Standard) and Mathematics (Basic). The exams will take place from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM, with some question papers concluding at 12:30 PM.


Opportunity for Improvement

CBSE introduced the dual board examination system last year, which will be implemented for the 2026 board exams. This allows students to improve their scores in up to three subjects.


Schedule for CBSE Class 10 Second Board Exam 2026

Eligible students for the examination include:

  • Sports students are permitted by CBSE.


Ineligible Students


  • Students who failed in three or more subjects or did not appear for the exam.

  • Students categorized under emergency (only eligible next year).


Who Can Take the Second CBSE Class 10 Exam?

The second board exam for CBSE Class 10 will be held in May 2026. The following students are eligible to sit for this exam:



  • Students with compartments in the main exam.

  • Private candidates from the 2024-25 session who fall under the third chance category.

  • Students who were absent for the main exam.
