Updated Examination Schedule for CBSE Students

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has made significant changes to the examination dates for Class 10 and Class 12 board exams scheduled for 2026. This update is crucial for millions of students nationwide.

The board has officially announced that exams originally set for March 3, 2026, have been rescheduled. The Class 10 exam will now take place on March 11, 2026, while the Class 12 exam is set for April 10, 2026.

CBSE has stated that all other exams will proceed as per the previously established timetable.

CBSE urges all affiliated schools to promptly inform students and their parents about these changes. A revised date sheet will be published soon, detailing the new examination dates. Additionally, the updated dates will be reflected on the students' admit cards.

Examination Format

The board has confirmed that the Class 10 and 12 exams will be conducted in a single shift. Most subjects will be examined from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM, although a few selected subjects will have their exams from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM.

Exam Schedule Overview

CBSE has reiterated that the exams for all other subjects will follow the original schedule, with only a few dates altered. The board exams for Classes 10 and 12 will occur between February and April. Specifically, Class 10 papers will be held on March 11, and the Class 12 Legal Studies exam will take place on April 10. Students can download their admit cards from the CBSE website by entering their roll number and other required details.

1. Visit the official CBSE website.

2. Click on the 'Admit Card' link on the homepage.

3. Enter your roll number, school number, and date of birth.

4. Click on Submit.

5. Your admit card will be displayed; download it and print a copy.
