New Delhi: Re-Evaluation Process Launched

New Delhi: After the results are released, many students find themselves dissatisfied with their scores and believe their answer sheets should be re-evaluated. In response, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has provided encouraging news. The board has announced the initiation of the re-evaluation and score verification process for Class 12 students, allowing them to have their marks reassessed.

Online Portal Activation Date

According to CBSE, the online portal related to re-evaluation will be activated on June 1, 2026. Initially, this process was set to commence on May 29, but the date has been postponed to enhance technical improvements and make the portal more user-friendly. The board states that this adjustment will provide students with a better experience and ensure a more organized application process.

Eligibility for Application

Only those students who have previously applied to receive their scanned answer sheets will be eligible for re-evaluation. These students can now apply for score verification, check for potential errors in evaluation, and request re-evaluation.

Increased Student Interest This Year

This year, CBSE implemented an on-screen marking system (OSM) for the evaluation of answer sheets. Following the results announcement, several students raised questions regarding the evaluation process. Additionally, many students reported technical issues related to payments and mark sheets on the portal. This has led to heightened interest among students regarding the re-evaluation process this time.

Application Process

To apply for re-evaluation, students must first visit the official CBSE website cbse.gov.in. They will need to log in to the post-result activity or re-evaluation section using their roll number, school number, and admit card ID. After logging in, students can select either score verification or re-evaluation as per their needs. They must choose the relevant subject and make the online payment of the prescribed fee. It is essential to keep a receipt or PDF of the completed application for future reference.

Helpline Services Available

If students encounter any technical issues during the application process, they can utilize the helpline and email support services provided by CBSE. The board has ensured special assistance arrangements for students to facilitate a smooth completion of the entire process.
