CBSE Announces LOC Submission Schedule for Class 10 and 12 Exams 2026-27
Important Dates for LOC Submission
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has unveiled the timeline for schools to submit the List of Candidates (LOC) for the upcoming Class 10 and 12 board examinations for the academic year 2026-27. Educational institutions are required to accurately input students' personal and academic information, including names, names of parents or guardians, birth dates, and chosen subjects. The board has indicated that there will be limited opportunities for modifications post-LOC submission, particularly concerning subject combinations, which could lead to complications for students.
Submission Deadlines and Fees

Schools can submit the necessary student details without incurring a late fee from September 24 to October 21, 2026. After this period, from October 22 to October 30, submissions will incur an additional late fee of ₹200 per student. The board has urged schools to meticulously verify all entries before finalizing the LOC.
Correction Window
**Correction Opportunity**
From November 2 to November 4, 2026, schools will have a chance to review and amend details in the LOC, such as names, parent or guardian names, and birth dates, using a verification slip. No alterations will be allowed after this period, so schools must ensure that student information is cross-checked against their admission and withdrawal records.
Subject Selection Caution
**Careful Subject Selection Required**
The board has stressed the importance of careful subject selection. Students must choose subjects that conform to the study scheme set by CBSE. Incorrect subject combinations could prevent students from taking their board exams. Generally, changes like subject alterations or adding/removing student names will not be permitted after the LOC submission. Schools are also required to secure signatures from students and parents once the LOC is finalized and to keep the list safely in their records.
