CBSE Announces Datesheet for 2026 Board Exams Starting February 17

CBSE Board Exam Datesheet Released

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially published the datesheet for the upcoming 10th and 12th grade examinations. These board exams are set to commence on February 17, 2026. Students can access and download the datesheet from the CBSE's official website.

During the announcement of the results for the 2025 examinations, the CBSE confirmed that the 2026 board exams would start on the same date. In line with the National Education Policy, the CBSE will conduct two board examinations for the 10th grade in 2026. A preliminary tentative datesheet was initially shared on September 24, 2025, based on the registration data from 9th and 11th grades, providing stakeholders with ample time to prepare.

The finalized datesheet has been crafted considering the following factors:

1. Sufficient gaps between subjects commonly taken by students.

2. The schedule of entrance examinations for Class 12 students has been factored in.

3. The aim is to complete board examinations well before entrance exams, allowing students to manage their time effectively.

4. Teachers will not be absent from their schools simultaneously during the evaluation period.

5. The datesheet accommodates over 40,000 subject combinations, ensuring that no two subjects chosen by a student are scheduled on the same day.

The examinations will commence at 10:30 AM. Students can view and download the datesheet from the official CBSE website at www.cbse.gov.in.
