Candidates now have until September 22, 2026, to submit their applications online, offering a fresh chance for those who have yet to complete the registration process. The official notification for STET 2026 has been issued, and the online application phase is currently active.


Exam Schedule and Format

The BSEB STET 2026 examination is anticipated to begin in the first week of November 2026, with specific dates to be confirmed later by the board. The test will be administered in a Computer-Based Test (CBT) format and will include two distinct papers. Paper 1 is designated for candidates aiming to teach classes 9 and 10, while Paper 2 is for those targeting classes 11 and 12.

Exam Structure

150-Mark Paper Overview


The STET 2026 exam will consist of 150 multiple-choice questions, with each question carrying one mark, totaling 150 marks. The examination will be conducted on a computer, and candidates should prepare according to their selected paper and subject.


Age Requirements for BSEB STET 2026

Age Criteria:


The minimum age for applicants is set at 21 years, calculated as of August 1, 2026. The upper age limit is 37 years for male candidates and 40 years for female candidates in the unreserved category.


For candidates belonging to the BC and EBC categories, the maximum age limit is 40 years, while it is 42 years for SC and ST candidates. Additionally, candidates with disabilities will receive age relaxation as per Bihar government regulations.
