BPSC AEDO Recruitment 2025 Announcement


Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has initiated the application process for the Assistant Education Development Officer (AEDO) positions in the Bihar Education Department starting from August 27. Interested candidates can submit their applications online until September 26 by visiting the official BPSC website.


Total Vacancies and Reservations

A total of 935 AEDO positions are available, with 319 of these specifically reserved for female candidates. Additionally, there are category-wise reservations in place for other applicants.


Eligibility Criteria for BPSC AEDO Recruitment

Age Requirement: Applicants must be between 21 and 37 years old. Relaxations in the upper age limit are applicable for OBC, ST, and SC candidates as per government regulations.


Educational Qualification: A graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university is mandatory for all applicants.


Application Fee Details

All candidates are required to pay an application fee of Rs 100. Additionally, those without an Aadhar card as identity proof will incur an extra biometric fee of Rs 200. This fee must be paid online during the application submission process.


Selection Process for BPSC AEDO Positions

The selection of candidates will be based on a written examination followed by document verification. The exam will consist of 100 questions, totaling 100 marks, and will last for two hours. The commission has provided the exam pattern along with the recruitment advertisement.


Salary Structure for Selected Candidates

Selected candidates will receive a salary ranging from Rs 44,900 to Rs 1,42,400, in accordance with the Seventh Pay Commission guidelines. The estimated monthly in-hand salary for the AEDO role is expected to be between Rs 50,000 and Rs 70,000, along with various allowances and benefits as per state government provisions.
