Bihar Government Honors Top Students with Cash Awards and Laptops
Celebration of Academic Excellence in Bihar
On September 9, 2026, a ceremony was held in Patna to honor students who excelled in the Bihar Board Matric and Intermediate examinations. The event took place at 'Neek Samvad' and was graced by Bihar's Deputy Chief Minister, Samrat Chaudhary, along with the students and their families.
**Cash Prizes for Top Performers**
A total of 168 students were recognized for their outstanding achievements, receiving cash awards based on their ranks:
- First Position: ₹2 lakh for the top student.
- Second Position: ₹1.5 lakh for the second rank holder.
- Third Position: ₹1 lakh for the third rank holder.
- Fourth to Tenth Positions: Students ranked 4th to 10th in Class 10 received ₹20,000, while those in the Intermediate examination received ₹30,000.
**Additional Laptop Fund**
Each of the top students was also awarded an additional ₹51,000 to assist with purchasing a laptop, as announced by the Deputy Chief Minister.

The event was attended by Deputy Chief Ministers Bijendra Prasad Yadav and Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, alongside Education Minister Mithilesh Tiwari, who presided over the ceremony.
