AISSEE 2026: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially announced the All India Sainik School Entrance Examination (AISSEE) 2026 on Friday, October 10. The application process for this entrance examination, which facilitates admission to Sainik Schools, is now open. Interested candidates must submit their applications by October 30, with the deadline for application fee payment set for October 31.


Eligibility and Application Process

The AISSEE allows admissions to specific classes within Sainik Schools. Applications can be submitted online until October 30. To apply, candidates should visit the NTA's official website: https://exams.nta.nic.in/sainik-school-society/. The application fee is ₹850 for General, OBC, and children of ex-servicemen, while SC and ST candidates are required to pay ₹750. Corrections to submitted applications can be made from November 2 to November 4.


Exam Schedule and Format

The AISSEE 2026 is set to take place in January, targeting admissions for Class 6 and Class 9. Results are expected to be announced four to six weeks following the examination. The test will consist of multiple-choice questions and will be conducted in pen-and-paper format using OMR sheets. For Class 6, the exam duration will be 150 minutes and will be available in 13 languages, while Class 9 candidates will have 180 minutes to complete the exam, which will be conducted in English only.
