Orders have been issued in this regard by the Education Department, which have been implemented with immediate effect. Strict action will be taken against schools not following the rules.

In this matter, a meeting of higher officials was held on Monday in which the matter was seriously considered. After this, orders have been issued regarding holidays in schools.

The orders issued by the Education Department will be applicable to government, private aided and recognized schools. These orders have been issued by the Director Education Department. Earlier, the Chandigarh Education Department had announced winter vacation from December 20 to January 7. However, some schools there are opposing it.
