Uttar Pradesh Board Rectifies Errors In Class 10 And 12 Marksheet

The Class 10 and 12 examinations conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Board took place from March 18 to March 31, and the results have now been announced. However, the UP Board has recently discovered errors in the mark sheets of high school and intermediate candidates, leading to immediate action being taken. To address this issue, camps have been organized from June 12 to 30. The UP Board has instructed its regional offices, District Inspector of Schools (DIOS), and Basic Shiksha Adhikari (BSA) to facilitate the resolution process.
These camps have already been set up across 22 districts and have successfully resolved 954 cases. Among these cases, 543 were related to high school candidates, while 411 were related to intermediate candidates. The main focus of these cases was to rectify errors and omissions in the candidates' names, parents' names, and dates of birth. The camps held at the regional offices in Meerut, Bareilly, Varanasi, Prayagraj, and Gorakhpur addressed the complaints from these 22 districts. UP Board Secretary Dibya Kant Shukla provided this information.
According to reports, the responsibility of organizing the camps and resolving student issues has been given to the District Inspector of Schools. The camps will be conducted at the district headquarters in schools that have made appropriate arrangements for seating and drinking water. A significant number of complaints, approximately 40,000, have been lodged, primarily concerning spelling errors in names, dates of birth, and related matters. To streamline the process and effectively address these concerns, the Director-General has appointed an additional secretary for each regional office of the UP Board.
This decision was made in response to numerous complaints highlighting discrepancies in students' mark sheets, including incorrect names, parents' names, surnames, and allocated marks. Previously, parents had to approach the board's headquarters to seek resolution for such issues.
